We consider our cattle to be a God-given trust, to be taken care of in his name and for the benefit of our neighbors.  Because of this philosophy, we strive to produce the best animals we can for your herd, animals with proven pedigrees, strong genetics, and excellent performance.

Oakes Farms is a third-generation Angus farm in Bledsoe County, Tennessee.  We registered our first Angus cows in 1962, under the name Raymond Oakes & Son.  For many years we maintained a registered Angus herd of 100 cows while acquiring quality herd bulls from such farms as Ankony Farm (Rhinebeck, New York) and Eisenhower Farms (Gettysburg Pennsylvania).  Our original herd was dispersed in the 1990s.

In 2006, after several years as a commercial breeder, we returned to the registered Angus business.  We are a seed-stock operation, producing registered, performance-tested top quality Angus bulls and replacement heifers.

Oakes Farms is a BQA-certified Master Beef Producer.
